I'm worried for England

The first half of Italy vs Ghana has just finished, with the Italians one up thanks to a wonder strike from Pirlo, the quality of the play, not to mention the excitement, in this game (Alongside the two matches earlier where the Czechs destroyed the US of A with some fantastic goals and the Aussies fought back wonderfully against the Japanese) has left me feling slightly more disheartened about Englands chances of winning the World Cup.

It was bad enough when my hopes and dreams foundered a bit on our display against Paraguay and the groan-inducing substitutions made by Eriksson (Again!) but having watched three games where the pace, skill and attacking verve have put us to shame, leaves me despondant.

Nevermind, tomorrow is another day, England are top of the group and they'll push on now.

Just need to score a fucking goal in the second half at some point during this tournament...
