Ipswich Town FC have a new opponent in the FA Cup Third Round due to the extraordinary expulsion of Bury FC, their orignal opponents, from the competition last night.
Bury had fielded an inelegible player in their Second Round tie against Chester City FC and thus had broken the rules. It seems that the paperwork (Ha!) had not been done and the on-loan player did not have the correct permission to play.
What a sorry state of affairs!

Either way, i'm sure that Ipswich (Winners of the FA Cup in 1978) will find a way to lose the tie and be eliminated from the Cup...
