Charles Clarke has been the Minister in charge of the Home Office during the time a quarter of the missing foreign criminals were released. He knew there was a problem and for this reason, he must go now.
It's no good fronting up as he is now in the media, telling us all how he is going to sort the problem out and how he understands that people will be vexed. 288 foreign criminals were released back onto Britains streets since July 2005 on his watch. There can be no excuses for that rank incompetence. Clarke must go now!
